A Buddhist Perspective on Step 7

with Chris Warner
Save to Favorites

What defects? What character? Who is doing the removing—and how do you know if you’re ‘entirely ready’?

Recovery is a spiritual journey, grounded in spiritual principles, and the Buddha’s teachings offer practitioners ethical clarity as well as formal practice guidelines, grounded in compassion, aimed toward freedom.

The spiritual principle that underlies Step 7 is Humility, following upon, and interwoven with, the Willingness that underlies Step 6. These two steps continue to guide people in recovery toward Unconditional Universal Love, Discipline and Justice, Perseverance, Ongoing Spiritual Awareness, and Service.

Join Chris Warner for an experiential exploration of the ways in which yoga, Buddhism, and 12-step programs interconnect to offer actionable paths to recovery, provide an opportunity to experience compassionate responsibility, and to more fully participate in our own well-being.
