Addiction is a symptom, not a disease. Addiction is the result of abandonment disorder. We have created many stories of external events to justify the abandonment that we feel inside.
We use many forms of addiction to palliate this abandonment disorder. These substances are not the cause of our disease, they are coping mechanisms to get us through to the point of healing. By changing our relationship to pain we can find our way into the abandonment of self that we created, in that lies the antidote for the original wound.
We are here to transmute dark to light through the power of forgiveness. This makes us human. This is our superpower. You came to suffer so that you could create light from that darkness. When we lose judgment, the wound heals and addictions resolve, and we shift the balance of dark and light in the cosmos. You are a miracle, and so is your journey through suffering.
